These beautiful knives were made by Holmes and Edwards with their iconic silver inlay technique. This set includes 6 fish knives in the Lafayette pattern and 1 butter knife in the Orient/Venice pattern. Both are have lovely floral motifs and date from circa 1908.

Holmes & Edwards obtained their special silver inlay technique when William A. Warner came to work for them in 1884. He had created the technique and patent it, which Holmes & Edwards would use for its flatware. The knives do not have any markings except for a faint "Holmes & Edwards." The fish knives have a monogram on the front of the handle. The butter knife is unmarked. They are all in Excellent condition.
