ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This is a beautiful vintage black and white silver gelatin print of a portrait of “The King of Hollywood”. This beautiful print is signed by Gable himself, reading ‘Gratefully, Clark Gable’ written in black ink on the bottom right corner. The print is in perfect condition and is framed with an off-white mat and a gold painted wooden frame. Overall, the piece measures approximately 13" (wide) x 15" (high).
William Clark Gable (1901-1960) was an American film actor, often referred to as "The King of Hollywood". He had roles in more than 60 motion pictures in multiple genres during a career that lasted 37 years, three decades of which was as a leading man. Gable died of a heart attack; his final on screen appearance was of an aging cowboy in The Misfits, released posthumously in 1961.
