This 1955 World Series Game 1 poster has been signed by members of the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers. The Dodgers finally – finally – defeated the New York Yankees in the 1955 Fall Classic, defeating the Bronx Bombers in a seminal seven-game set, winning the only World Series title while the Dodgers were in Brooklyn. Johnny Podres threw a complete game shutout in the Dodgers 2-0 Game 7 victory to earn the inaugural World Series Most Valuable Player trophy.
