ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This extremely rare print by Salvador Dalí is titled Tristan and Iseult: The Three Barons Felons. The print displays three central figures as well as sketches of two bodies and a horse. Its surrealist style and subtle colors are characteristic of Dali’s prints. He signed it at the bottom right and included the edition, which is 31, out of the 75 total made. The metal frame surrounding it has kept the print in excellent condition.
Dalí was a Spanish artist who was a leader in the surrealist art movement. He lived in Spain and France as well as the United States, where he achieved commercial success. Major themes in his work include dreams, the subconscious, sexuality, religion, science and his closest personal relationships.
