Standing 151 feet and 1 inch from her toes to the tip of the torch in her right hand, the Statue of Liberty was dedicated in New York Harbor on October 28, 1886. The statue is based on the figure Libertas, the Roman liberty goddess. The torch in her right hand is well-known as a symbol of light to the world, but the tablet in her left hand often goes overlooked. That tablet has the Roman numerals IV MDCCLXXVI next to the word July. Those Roman numerals translate to July 4, 1776, the date of the US Declaration of Independence.
All 1 oz SilverTowne Statue of Liberty Copper Rounds in this product listing are available to you in brand-new condition. These copper rounds are available individually with protective plastic flips. Multiples ship in either mint tubes of 16 rounds or boxes of 400 rounds. The box contains a total of 25 tubes of 16 rounds.
On the obverse side of the 1 oz Statue of Liberty Copper Rounds is the appearance of Lady Libertys face from the statue. Her pointed crown rests atop her head as her hand reaches high out of the field of view to hold her torch aloft. There is a circle of 13 stars around her head, each one indicative of the original colonies that broke away from Britain to form the United States of America.
The reverse face of 1 oz SilverTowne Statue of Liberty Copper Rounds features a new common design used on copper rounds from SilverTowne. This image includes an American bald eagle with its back to the viewer and wings spread wide. The national initials of USA are also depicted with a single star next to it. The SilverTowne mint mark of a pick-ax is featured at the bottom of the design field as well.
