Upon closer examination, collectors are sure to appreciate the intricate design of each engraving as well as the high level of skill it took to carve out such complex detail. The front of the coin features the personification of Liberty as she approaches the rising sun. She holds a pile of branches in one hand while extending the other one in invitation. This depiction of Lady Liberty illustrates how graciously our nation welcomes those who come here and how willingly we share our abundant resources and opportunities.

The reverse side of the coin is stamped with the Great Seal of the United States. This crest consists of a shield framed by the outspread wings of the bald eagle. In the eagles its opposing talons, it balances an olive branch with a set of arrows. The olive branch is a symbol of the peace that we wish to instill within our country. The set of arrows demonstrates the protective measures executed by our government in order to ensure that peace. The patriotic emblems serve as a reminder of the beliefs and values that we as a country must continue to uphold.
