As such, Germanic people would worship at the base of oak tree trunks. It wasnt just the tree itself that was revered though. The fruit of the oak tree, acorns, were considered a source of fertility and delivered magical abilities to those who consumed them.

The reverse face of 2019 Germania Oak Leaf Silver Rounds features the official crest of the Germania Mint. Based on Roman history and that of the 19^th-century German Empire, the double-headed eagle is in the center. The double-headed eagle stems from Roman mythology and the god Janus, the one associated with origins and guardian of doors, gates, and other passages. The eagle clutches corkscrew double-headed arrows in each talon. There is a beaded border around the design field with inscriptions of Germania, 2019, and 5 Mark.
