In the subject of Cervantes, Salvador Dali has captured the nobility and grandeur of this great author who was well known for his classic novel: Don Quixote. This original etching, signed in the plate, from his Spanish Immortals series is a perfect example of mastery technique. In the series, apart from Cervantes, he also featured Don Quixote, Edi Cil, El Greco and Velázquez and all of the work was done in the style of a quick sketch. As the leading exponent in surrealism this controversial artist is in every major collection and museum in the world. Salvador Dali is hailed to be one of the major art influences of the 20th century. This print is professionally matted and framed, and has the certificate of authentication on the back of the artwork.
It measures approximately 8" inches in height and 6 " inches wide without the frame and 14 ½" inches in height by 11 ½ inches inches wide with the frame.
