An original serigraph on paper print by famous American artist and printmaker, LeRoy Neiman. Using vibrant colors, Neiman renders an interesting portrait of a young boy making a trick on a skateboard. This piece is in excellent condition, signed “LeRoy Neiman ’77” in blue on the bottom right corner as part of the plate and signed ‘LeRoy Neiman’ in pencil on the outer bottom margin of the print. The print is framed with a purple mat and a black plastic frame and comes with a certificate of authenticity from Gallery79.

LeRoy Neiman (1921-2012) was an American artist known for his brilliantly colored, expressionist paintings and screen prints of athletes, musicians, and sporting events. Neiman is most famous for his dynamic and colorful sports drawings. Because no one had entered the field of sport art, Neiman was free to do as he pleased. Using vibrant colors, Neiman depicted some of the most famous athletes and sporting events of the time. The first Olympics he worked for were the winter games in Squaw Valley in 1960. He continued working as illustrator for the Olympics in Munich 1972, Montreal 1976, Lake Placid 1980, and both Sarajevo and Los Angeles in 1984. A prolific painter, Neiman is celebrated and remembered for his dramatic and lively contributions.
