Boesky was eventually charged and plead guilty to insider trading and fined a record $100m, but before that, he commissioned this wristwatch from Swiss watch company Bueche Girod. Boesky came from a traditional Jewish family and ordered this watch as a Christmas gift for his partner.
This highly coveted timepiece features a beautifully proportioned solid 18K Yellow Gold case that measures approximately 31mm (from end of case to end of crown) x 4mm (high). The solid 18K Yellow Gold case back is custom engraved and reads "TO JOE MY VALUED PARTNER AND FRIEND CHRISTMAS 1977 IVAN BOESKY". Behind the high-quality sapphire crystal, is a custom made superb white dial with gold-tone letter hour markers spelling out “ARBITRAGE,” as well as gold-tone hour and minute hands. This vintage circa 1977 timepiece also has a factory set onyx-style cabochon on the solid 18K Yellow Gold crown. This Mechanical Movement powered watch is enclosed by its original Bueche Girod black genuine alligator leather two-piece strap that measures approximately 17mm (wide) and can fit up to an 7-inch wrist. The watch is enclosed by its original signed Bueche Girod 18K Yellow Gold tang buckle.
