This is an authentic vintage piece of sports memorabilia consisting of an autographed color photograph of a portrait of former professional baseball player and manager, Ted Williams. This beautifully composed collectible is professionally mounted and framed on a 1’’ thick laminated wooden board and includes a red metal plate with The Splendid Splinter stats between 1939-1960. The photograph depicts Williams in his Boston Red Sox uniform holding a bat just after hitting the ball, and is signed ‘Ted Williams’ on the center bottom with a blue felt tip pen. The item is in excellent condition and is certified by Gallen Sports Productions in NYC.
Theodore Samuel Williams (1918-2002) was an American professional baseball player and manager. He played his entire 19-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career, primarily as a left fielder, for the Boston Red Sox from 1939 to 1960; his career was interrupted by military service during World War II and the Korean War. Nicknamed "Teddy Ballgame", "The Kid", "The Splendid Splinter", and "The Thumper", Williams is regarded as one of the greatest hitters in baseball history.
