This gorgeous antique lamp was produced in the early 20th century by Tiffany Studios, by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The lamp consists of a Favrile Acorn Glass Shade and Bronze base garnished with three leafs ornamentation.
The highly collectible table lamp’s uniqueness lies in the dome-shaped shade with light green rectangular panels that features a band of amber acorns arranged in a repeating pattern. The level of artistry put into the glass art attests to the high quality of this lamp. When illuminated, it projects a luxurious green light, creating a beautiful atmosphere wherever it is placed.
Favrile glass is a type of iridescent art glass designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. It differs from most iridescent glasses because the color is ingrained in the glass itself, as well as having distinctive coloring. The term means handcrafted and is associated with the first and simplest shades made by Tiffany.
The bronze base is not visibly stamped, the underneath of the felted base was not checked for a stamp. The lamp is approximately 20" inches high, and the diameter of the shade is 16" inches.
