       Scott catalog #245 1893 $5 Colombian Issue Stamp No. 108. Issued in conjunction with the Colombian Exposition commemorating the 400th anniversary of the landing of Christopher Columbus. The set of 16 stamps of the Colombian Issue were the last produced by the American Bank Note Co. before production was turned over to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in 1894. Columbus portrait engraved by Alfred Jones. Excellent condition.
