A never-before-published photograph of the great "Joltin'"Joe DiMaggio shown in his hospital bed signing baseballs for young fans. This black and white photo was taken around the time DiMaggio was recovering from surgery due to a bone spur in his heel in late 1948. This was most likely taken at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He later returned the following year for recurring pain. This piece is a must-have: from the smiling faces of his fans to the rarity of this photo, this photo will add extreme value to any collection!
