Item Description:
A prominent "Big Band" leader in the 1920's, Xavier Cugat was celebrated for his contribution to the rising popularity of Latin music within the United States. Cugat was a talented violinist, conductor, and leader of the resident orchestra at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Depicted here is an intimate signed letter, presumably during Cugat’s travels to his dear friend, Lou Diamond of Paramount Pictures. Included is a black and white photograph, plaque, and the original letter.
This item comes professionally matted and framed, measures approximately 23 ½” by 23 ½” inches.
