Hello, welcome back to another episode of "Amazing Appraising!" This is Lee the Appraiser here.

Today, I want to share with you all about this beautiful piece, "One Plate," by artist, Joan Miró in 1947. Joan Miró was a Spanish artist, painter, sculptor, and ceramicist born in Barcelona in April 1893. Miró is best known for his childlike, abstract painting with Surrealist fantasy. His artworks were inspired by Picasso, Catalan folk art, and the subconscious mind.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The complete title of this piece is, “The Prints of Joan Miró, One Plate.” This is an extremely rare, original color etching in black and orange, and it is connected to the Wilhelm Krefeld Museum. Miró has signed and dated the print in pencil on the bottom right corner. The edition number is 36/100, which is also written in pencil on the bottom left corner. This print comes professionally matted and framed. It is marked with the gallery lot and catalog number.
