ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Enter a realm where tradition meets art, where strokes of black ink dance across delicate rice paper, revealing the soul of a majestic creature: the horse. Reminiscent of a bygone era, these exquisite paintings are not mere works of art. Crafted by the skilled hands of a devoted student and follower of esteemed artist Xu Beihong, these pieces capture the essence of his revered style. Transport yourself to the year 1967, a time when reverence for the master was immortalized with ink and brush. Each stroke carries the weight of history and pays tribute to the legacy of a masterful creator. While Xu Beihong's original works command astonishing prices, these paintings are unique treasures that deserve admiration and acclaim. Its authenticity resonates in every detail, evoking a sense of wonder and appreciation. They are more than mere replicas; They are singular expressions of art, each one unique and of incomparable quality.

            Xu Beihong:

A renowned figure in modern Chinese art, skillfully combined traditional Chinese themes with Western painting techniques. Born in 1895 in Yixing, Jiangsu, he immersed himself in poetry and painting under the guidance of his father. After studying in France and Japan, he returned to China in 1927 to become an influential educator and dean of several prestigious institutions. Xu's art was marked by his remarkable sense of structure, light and color. His striking works, such as the four-meter-long painting "Tian Heng and His 500 Servants", showed his talent and gained wide recognition. A pioneer in promoting Chinese art globally, Xu organized exhibitions around the world, including during World War II, and used the profits to help Chinese refugees. His encounters with luminaries such as Rabindranath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi in India inspired important works, including "The Foolish Man Who Removed the Mountains." Appointed president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1949, Xu influenced generations of artists, advocating the integration of Eastern and Western artistic ideas. He has fostered a community of innovative talents, leaving an indelible mark on the Chinese modern art scene. Xu Beihong's legacy endures and embodies a fusion of cultural influences and a commitment to artistic excellence. He passed away in 1953 in Beijing, leaving a profound impact on the art world at the age of 58.
