Coppini was an Italian jewelry and silver maker. The sugar bowl is glass and has a 800 silver setting. It is marked 800 and includes the Italian hallmark. Each part of this object is detailed. The bowl has a flat bottom with a starburst shape carving. The silver bowl setting has an elaborate mechanism when it is pulled open. The handles are beautifully carved with flowers with a 3.5 inch height. The lid is repoussé with grapes and grape leaves. The bowl setting has carved men, most likely the Greek god Dionysus, holding intricately detailed banners covered in flowers. The feet provide a half inch elevation. The bowl can be used for sugar or any other condiment. The silver spoon is marked 800 as well and has Coppini's mark. It is shaped like a shell and the handle is nicely forged. The pieces date circa 1930s and are in excellent condition.
