This charming letter, both typed and signed by Lawrence Mervil Tibbett (1896-1960), offers a glimpse into the world of the American establishments. Tibbett, renowned as a baritone and recording artist, graced the stage of the Metropolitan Opera in New York City over 600 times from 1923 to 1950. Addressed to Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, the esteemed political figure, diplomat, and activist, who served as the First Lady of the United States during her husband President Franklin D.
