The 1/2 oz Proof Gold Eagle was the first coin to debut in the fractional range, arriving in 1987. The 1/2 oz Proof American Gold Eagle coins feature either a P mint mark from the Philadelphia Mint or a W mint mark from the West Point Mint.

Considered near-perfect coins, these products have full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines, these flaws are found only outside the primary focal points.

The UCAM label denotes proof coins with strong, frosted matte design elements overlaying deeply-mirrored, clear background fields. APR 57 offers these 1/2 oz Proof American Gold Eagles with PF69 certification and UCAM labels from random years of issue. We cannot guarantee the date mark on the coin you receive.
