ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Presented is a rare and distinctive handwritten letter dated December 5th, 1904, penned by Count Francis Lützow (1849-1916), an eminent Austrian author, historian, critic, and revivalist. This correspondence pertains to his early manuscript of the acclaimed work "Stendhal: A Study," slated for publication in June 1905. Exhibiting remarkable preservation despite its age, this letter constitutes a prized piece of literary ephemera, holding significant value for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Dear Sir,

I beg to forward the M. S. of Stendhal. I am leaving Bohemia and my address will be Royal Societies Club St James Street London. England. I don’t know if you think it necessary I send the proofs to Europe for correction. I think the M.S. fairly clear.
