WC, "RIVER MILL", OIL PAINTING, C. 1872 VINTAGE UNIQUE - $40K  APPRAISAL VALUE!  


ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This is a detailed realistic painting of a river mill. It depicts details of a house on the water, surrounded by a forest. It is painted with oil on canvas and the artist has the initials 'WC' in the lower right corner. The artist has also written the year 1872 right under his initials. While it was created during Impressionism’s first steps, it is a realistic painting, stylistically true to the 19th century tradition of landscape painting.


The painting measures approximately 21" inches wide by 15" inches in height with the frame included and approximately 18" wide, 12" high without the frame. It is about an inch thick. The condition is fair with a few nicks here and there, but regardless this tranquil painting would make the perfect addition to any home.
