ITEM DESCRIPTION:

A beautiful print hand signed and dated 1988 by the artist, Peter Max, a German born artist famous for his paintings focused on American culture. This one is from his series on the Statue of Liberty, first seen by Max when he was a young immigrant, and is perfect for anyone looking to keep a piece of NYC in their home. This print was acquired through a friend of the artist and is in perfect condition.  

Max is an important member of the Pop-art movement and though still alive, he sadly suffers from dementia and no longer creates art. His work from the 60s, 70s, and 80s has been featured in solo exhibitions, clothing lines, and magazines, and he has solidified his place as an important part of the city’s history.
