- Description
With only approximately 2,000 Radio Improved Selmer Alto Saxophones produced, this 1935 instrument is a must-have for serious collectors and musicians alike! Known as the top saxophone brand on the market, Henri Selmer has a reputation for long-lasting and elegant instruments, and is the brand of choice for serious saxophonists.
This professional-grade instrument is in good playing condition. Any mention of “Selmer” has been scratched out on the bell, but this in no way affects the playing integrity or the wonderful deep sound. The gorgeous scrollwork is unaffected, and there is no other significant damage. Original neck in perfect condition, including all engravings.
The original mouthpiece with Selmer ligature and cover included but is not in playing condition. Because of this, we are also including a vintage 1950’s Semler Soloist Scroll Short Shank C* mouthpiece with Selmer ligature and cover for FREE! Valued at up to $500, this premiere mouthpiece is in perfect playing condition and wonderfully complements the full sound of this sophisticated instrument.
The alto saxophone and two mouthpieces come in a stunning custom-made vintage snakeskin dual case! This case is perfect for the multi-talented musician as it can be used to store up to two clarinets, in addition to an alto saxophone. There is damage on the top of the case and the buckles need to be replaced. The rest of the case is in beautiful condition, including the elegant red velvet lining, which is ideal for protecting the instruments from scratches and damage! Additionally, this one-of-a-kind case contains plenty of storage for multiple mouthpieces, bells, accessories, etc.
