ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This is a late 19th Century cast iron dish in early Art Deco style. The dish is shaped as a textured leaf and elegantly framed by two symmetrical elements with floral motifs and organic shapes; on the top part of the leaf there is a figure of a bird stretching its wings. The is supported by three sturdy and small cast iron legs. It can be used as an ash tray, a vanity dish or simply as a decorative piece. The dish is in excellent condition without any signs of rust, and has a subtle light brown and dark green patina.
