  • Description

Launched in 2016 by KOMSCO, the South Korean Tiger apr57 series features both gold and silver for sale. The silver medals in the series debuted in 2018 and, like many other KOMSCO collections, feature new images of the powerful predatory cat on the obverse field. After two initial releases with images of an adult tiger, the 2020 release in the collection goes backward in the lifecycle to depict a young cub. Right now, 2020 1 oz South Korean Tiger Silver Medals are available to purchase online from APR 57.

Medal Highlights:

  • Arrives in an individual plastic flip, a tube of 25, or a Monster Box of 250!
  • 3rd design in the South Korean Silver Tiger release!
  • Limited mintage of only 33,000 medals!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver in BU condition.
  • The obverse features a young tiger cub with images of the Gyeongbokgung Palace and Namsan Tower in the design element.
  • On the reverse is the artistic depiction of the Korean peninsula.

Each 2020 1 oz South Korean Tiger Silver Medal in this listing is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These silver medals come housed in individual plastic flips or original mint packaging consisting of tubes and boxes. Multiples of 25 are housed inside of tubes, with multiples of 250 inside of Monster Boxes. The box contains a total of 10 tubes of 25 medals.

The Korean Tiger apr57 series started in 2016 as a gold collection only. In 2018, the first silver medals were introduced into the collection. The popularity of the Korean Tiger Series has resulted in an increase in the number of options available, such as 1 oz proof silver medals and 10 oz silver BU medals.

The obverse side of 2020 South Korean Tiger Silver Medals offers the most detailed design to date in the series. The dominant figure in the design element is the young tiger cub that towers over both of the manmade structures in terms of size within the design. The inquisitive cub is depicted lying across the main gate structure of the Gyeongbokgung Palace, with the Namsan Tower in Seoul featured on the right side of the design field.

On the reverse field of 2020 1 oz South Korean Tiger Silver Medals is the common design element of the series. Here, you will find the artistic depiction of the Korean peninsula that forms the shape of the geographic region using the letters of the Hangul, the alphabet of the Korean language.
